Pulses Dwarf bean

Pulses Dwarf bean (Phaseolus vulgaris var. Nanus) Climbing bean (Phaseolus vulgaris var. vulgaris) TSW: Sowing: Seed demand: Plant density: 250-450 g, 1g = ca. 2-4 seeds. After 10th May (to avoid frost damages), till mid-July. Germination above 10°C soil temperature. For early sowings the soil temperature can be increased with a plastic foil cover. 0,8-1,3 kg/100qm. Sowing in rows 50 x 8 cm, sowing in clusters 50 x 40 cm, ideally 25 plants/qm. TSW: 300-500g, 1g = 2-3 seeds. Sowing: Open field from 10th May till the beginning of July. In the greenhouse from mid-March, sowings later than mid-July will have a little less yield. Requires even a little higher soil temperatures than dwarf beans. For early crops, especially for sowings before May, a cover with plastic foil will increase soil temperature and improve emergence of plants. Seed demand: 0,7-1,3 kg/100 qm. Plant density: Greenhouse 100 x 35 cm, 3 seeds per cluster = 6-8 plants/qm. Open field 100-120 x 50 cm, 6-8 seeds per cluster = 10-12 plants/qm. Too narrow spacing will lead to a decreased quality and an increased risk of plant health issues, because the plants dry only quite slowly. In the greenhouse it is useful to cut the tops above the upper wire, which leads to a concentrated fruit setting in the middle part of the plant, what means a significant reduction of labour time for harvest. Cultivation: Main demand for nitrogen during flowering. A too early nitrogen donation will lead to delayed flowering and harvest. There might be extensive nutrition reservoirs in the soil from previous crops, which need to be considered. Description Golden Teepee Exceptional breeding with golden yellow, round shaped pods, that are hanging above the foliage and allow really easy harvesting. Robust and upright plants. Pod length: 18 cm, Seed colour: white Markant Sleeve shape round-oval Description Round-oval shaped green climbing bean. Early maturing and resistant to BMV 1. High yielding and healthy variety with 25 cm long pods, that stay tender for a long period. Pantheon flat Vigorous, high yielding breeding with about 25 cm long and 2,5 cm wide pods of uniform green colour. Reliable variety also under unfavourable conditions. Goldelfe flat-oval Medium early climbing bean with yellow, flat-oval pods. pea (Pisum sativum) Available as organic seeds from Vitalis | Only available as organic seeds from Vitalis | Variety information is based on our experiences from trial and agricultural production and offers no guarantee. Different climate, soil and cultivation circumstances must be taken into account. TSW: Sowing: Seed demand: Plant density: 150-350 g, 1 g = ca. 3-7 seeds. Sugar peas and scarf peas from begin of March, wrinkled peas, with a need for higher soil temperatues, from begin of April. For later sowings, from end of April on, the period of vegetative growth is shorter, resulting in smaller plants and less yield. Sowing depth 4-5 cm. 1,5-2,8 kg/100 qm. Between the rows 30-40 cm, within the row 3 cm or 2 seeds each 5-6 cm = 75-80 plants/qm. Description Markana Medium late variety with large dark green pods and especially stable plants. High performance and robust against powdery mildew. Plant height: 60 cm Variety information is based on our experiences from trial and agricultural production and offers no guarantee. Different climate, soil and cultivation circumstances must be taken into account. Golden Teepee Markant 64 | Enza Zaden Enza Zaden | 65
